Going through life changes can be difficult and reaching out for help can be intimidating. However, you are not alone. Jordan is an Individual and Family Counsellor, who is registered and in good standing with the OntarioCollege of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Her experience includes working with youth and adults including 2SLGBTQ+ persons and supporting individuals with many difficulties such as anxiety, depression and past/recent trauma including sexual assault and domestic violence.
Jordan utilizes an elective approach to counselling, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioural therapy and psychodynamic methods. ApplyingMindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Informed, and Strengths Based practice, Jordan offers individualized support for each client.
By developing a collaborative professional helping relationship, Jordan believes that that she and clients can work together to explore and attend to client’s difficulties and concerns. She works collaboratively with each client; fostering skills to cope and address their difficulties, establishing goals that assist to create change. Jordan is committed to providing an empathetic, non-judgmental and supportive environment to give each client a voice and the assurance that they will be heard.
